What a great morning at Monticello Mercantile with Callie McFarland!

Not only is Callie the SVCEO Board President and Director of Community Development for the City of Monticello, Illinois, Government, she’s also the proud owner of Monticello Mercantile.

Our students got a hands-on look at marketing, product placement, and pricing strategies—plus some powerful advice about the importance of giving back. Callie reminded us that supporting local businesses matters because “a rising tide carries all ships.”

Big thanks to Callie for sharing her time, experience, and passion for community with our students!
